My little blog about adirondack cabin rentals
Public and private lands dot the landscape; the Adirondack Forest Preserve, created by the state legislature in 1885, is located in the heart of the Park and remains forever wild. The general Adirondack area is a mixture of public and private lands, Adirondack summer cottage rentals and permanent residences, mountains and valleys. Adirondack rentals are available in any one of several regions within the Park and in all shapes and sizes, depending on your needs. Adirondack rentals should be reserved several months ahead of time, due to the popularity of the area, but you can usually choose from a number of last minute vacancies if you make a spontaneous decision to visit the area. You can decide from log cabins, summer camps, chalets, bed and breakfasts and lake front cottages with lake rights that are all available to rent on a weekly or less than weekly basis.
